What is more precious than money?
*Time is invaluable. You cannot put a value on time. It is our most priceless resource. In direct (and ironic) contrast, money is solely defined by a (numerical/fiscal) value in the form of a proverbial price tag.
In fact, time is much more valuable than money because you can use your time to make money, but you can't use money to purchase more time. Time is the great equalizer… Each day has only 24 hours - nobody has any more than anyone else.
So respect really is more valuable than money. There are feelings of trust, safety, and well-being that come with respect. That's because of the sense of worth or personal value that's been attached to you by others.
More valuable than wealth are: Love. Health. Peace of Mind.
As a result, respect is far more valuable than money. On the other hand, self-respect is associated with feelings of trust, safety, and well-being. This is due to the perception of worth or personal value that others have placed on you. “People Will Respect You Only If You Respect Yourself First”.
- True friendship. Possessing money can certainly attract people who want to be friends with us, but it is no guarantee of real friendship, so no amount of money in the world can buy a real and true friendship.
- Health. ...
- Time. ...
- Love. ...
- Talents.
Many Americans' most important values are having a happy relationship, living an honest and respectable life, and practicing safety. But yours might differ, and that's more than okay. Understanding your own values is a fundamental part of self-awareness and getting to know yourself as a human being.
Life is more than just money because life's richness lies in the deep connections we form, our experiences, our personal growth, and our positive impact on the world around us. While money is essential to meeting basic needs, it is not the sole reason and won't lead to a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Investing provides the potential for (significantly) higher returns than saving. As your investments grow, they allow you to take advantage of compounding to accelerate gains. Investing offers many different access points and strategies, from individual stocks and bonds to mutual or exchange-traded funds.
Human beings need money to pay for all the things that make your life possible, such as shelter, food, healthcare bills, and a good education. You don't necessarily need to be Bill Gates or have a lot of money to pay for these things, but you will need some money until the day you die.
What is truly wealthy?
$2.2 million
That's how much net worth an American needs to be considered wealthy in 2023, according to the Charles Schwab Modern Wealth Survey. The survey, which polled more than 1,000 adults online in March, asked Americans how much money a person in their area would need to be wealthy. It's an annual survey.
Happiness:
Time and time again, numerous wealthy people become utterly miserable, and they're not happy in their relationships, family lives, or even their careers. So it is clear that money does not buy happiness.
Proverbs 3:14-15 New Century Version (NCV)
Wisdom is worth more than silver; it brings more profit than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you could want is equal to it.
Remember that money can't buy love
Whether you're curious to know how to marry rich or are looking for someone rich, keep in mind that money isn't something that can truly comfort you when you're feeling down. Humans are social creatures by nature, and we often inherently desire love.
Love is worth so much more than money. There are so many people who are filthy rich, but have nobody to genuinely love them. Unconditional love is priceless. If you have someone who really loves you for your heart, without any conditions, then you are truly one of the wealthiest people in the world.
According to Schwab's 2023 Modern Wealth Survey, Americans perceive an average net worth of $2.2 million as wealthy. Knight Frank's research indicates that a net worth of $4.4 million is required to be in the top 1% in America, a figure much higher than in countries like Japan, the U.K. and Australia.
Time. In reality, time is the only valuable currency on the planet – it is the only currency with intrinsic value. Likewise, it's the only currency that you can spend, but never make. Time cannot be forged, stolen or borrowed.
Time. No matter how deep your pockets, time remains priceless. No financial investment can grant an extra hour, making each moment truly priceless. In our race against the clock, the wealth of seconds slips away, urging us to value time as the most non-negotiable asset.
Your sanity; your health; your family; and the ability to start anew.” Your passions are the things that give it purpose, and living with a sense of vitality makes everything easier for you!
Five of the most common and widely known values include integrity, accountability, diligence, perseverance, and discipline. These values can be applied virtually anywhere. They are used in the workplace, in relationships, at schools, and within sports teams.
What values drive you?
Integrity, kindness, honesty, and financial security are typical examples of personal core values. Others often see these values as your character traits. For example, someone who is known for always doing the right thing likely values integrity. Suppose you have a core value of freedom.
While high-value individuals strive for personal success, they also understand the importance of empathy and kindness. They genuinely care about the well-being of others and often display acts of kindness and compassion.
Researchers have long known that the rich live longer than the poor. Evidence now suggests that the life expectancy gap is increasing, at least here the United States, which raises troubling questions about the fairness of current efforts to protect Social Security.
The only thing that makes life worth living is the possibility of experiencing now and then a perfect moment. And perhaps even more than that, it's having the ability to recall such moments in their totality, to contemplate them like jewels.
Being rich may sound like the dream, but it's not a guarantee for long-term financial security. To truly secure your financial future, it's important to aim for wealth. Wealth provides a sense of financial freedom and stability that being rich cannot always offer.
